We had a fantastic time....the store was brimming with original art, vintage christmas, home decor, furniture and lots of gift ideas. It has been a great year overflowing with love and support from the Tarte Family....I am happy to announce that Tarte will be OPEN next weekend. Saturday and Sunday Nov 26th and 27th 11am - 5pm. and.... Beginning Thursday December 1st...Tarte will be OPEN Thursday through Saturday 11am-5pm and Sundays 11am-3pm.

It certainly has been a busy month.....
June was kicked off by Farm Chicks in Spokane.....

...we had a fabulous time with friends from around the Northwest and beyond...stayed at the incredibly comfortable Davenport Hotel, eating at the World Famous Chaps restaurant with the extraordinary Celeste and Dan. Just being our crazy selves and introducing the folks to the Wanderlust Collection and Le Cirque De Tarte.

It was a blast.....

Hanging out with my girls...Tiffany and Robin...and all the other carnis at the show.

Thank you for helping me make this new venture a success!!

Next up...my daughter Kylee graduated from High School

...a milestone in our lives and an abundance of dreams and decisions to be made in the future.

We are sooo proud and had an incredible party to celebrate...it was a weekend of family, friendship and love....and a little crazy! a perfect ending to her high school career.

Enjoy the Journey....

The best advise I ever received....Enjoy the Journey. We work so hard day to day keeping up the pace of everyday lives, home, family, friends, running two businesses...trying to fit in a little r&r, remembering to take some time for ourselves. I have to say it is very hard for me to not focus on work...I love what I do and have to remind myself it is ok to take a break, take a breath and enjoy my life. This past week I got some down time to focus on this precious time that just seems to slip away. I never make New Years Resolutions, but as I turned another year older... decided it is time... this year... even though a little late ...to be present, be a little more focused, spend more real time with my family and family of friends and really enjoy the journey.

I will be attending Dream Girls this weekend hosted by the lovely and talented Tiffany Kirchner Dixon. I am looking forward to spending the weekend with some incredibly gifted women...making art....but mostly getting back to being creative....just for fun!!

Have a good time with friends while playing with your custom designed Valentines artistic packet from k.marie's personal collection, filled with vintage images and ephemera to create your very special Valentines. You will also have the opportunity to incorporate into your cards from all of our additional papers, glitter, punches, ribbons, doilies and more. We will also provide assistance and teach glittering and more for those who need a little lesson. You will leave with a fabulous collection of cards and you won’t have to even clean up when you are done! … perfect for any pre-Valentines shopping.

Thank you to everyone who came out for the Grand Opening Celebration. It was an incredible weekend full of smiling happy faces...the sun was out and it was a truly beautiful day! What have I been doing lately???

Lets just say I have been working really hard on my new store....It has been a fun and challenging journey these past 5 weeks. I have had an incredible amount of energy and strength...I am sure pure adrenaline. And now...in the home stretch, I am exhausted. Ready for a day off and desperately in need of a manicure and some cute clothes. I have done most of the work myself and really loving every moment. The local coffee shop in Aurora is keeping me fueled and not to mention they have delicious Panini and Gelato. I can't wait til you all can join me in this charming town for a new adventure. I'm Back.....

And..so glad to be home. I really do love being at home with my little family.

It takes a long trip away to make me really think about how lucky

I am and how hard we work to make our house a home.

Thanks to the girls...

Joy, Terri & Elizabeth for a lovely trip....and to Terri's brother Brian for giving us our home away from home for 2 weeks. Here is a shot of Brian's yard in the San Diego hills....

We had a great trip filled with sunshine, beaches, shopping, new friends, and lots of laughs...even a few tears. Lets just say we all got a little homesick....

First up...the Mermaid Mercantile show in the beautiful town of Solana Beach...in the middle of the design district...we had quite a few laughs with Nikki pictured below and I found a new favorite coffee drink...a twisted vanilla yogart latte...at the Twisted Tart...such a fitting name. It was like drinking a delicious coffee milkshake! Joy and I set up our wares at this flea where we met so many fabulous, generous people.

We ate at this incredible hamburger joint...Hodads in Ocean Beach...can't wait to go back.

A pampered day of sailing in the San Diego Bay

There was plenty of adventure including many hours on the Southern California Freeways..... We had a day of sailing (which by the way is my new favorite hobby) ate some fantastic food (and fresh margaritas), made soldered treasures, told lots of stories, and were seconds away from getting my trailer stolen!!! Thankfully we are all home in one piece....now I know why Barry always tells me to stay out of trouble when I leave the house!!

This week I will be finishing up last minute details and packing up for Farm Chicks... this truly is one of the highlights of the year...alot of planning and work goes into this show being so far away from home, but it is worth the effort and the drive.

First I want to thank everyone who came out to the Land of Tarte on Saturday. We had a great day with lots of new customers and old friends. I was so busy that I didn't have time to take photos...the lovely Alex snapped this one of my "living room" a favorite set up of mine...the chandeliers sold right away. Natalie's delicious cakes and Tarts sold out first thing in the morning too. Be sure to come early next time when she will be bringing several flavors of the mini cakes and lemon bars.

Next months theme at the barn is "April in Paris" So...all you pink lovers come on out and join the party.

My hat is off to Timi for preparing and organizing such a fantastic event this past weekend. It was her first show and it certainly was a smashing success. The weather was beautiful, food fantastic and over 600 customers arrived for the party. Thank you Timi, Jay and all your wonderful helpers for graciously hosting such a great show....can't wait for the next one.

I want to thank everyone who came out to

the Land of Tarte on Saturday.

(This is my trophy table...complete with trophies of all kinds...deer heads, trophy cups, french flags, fantastic old camera, beautiful Louis french chair, and of course a royal crown.

Prudence the deer hanging on the mantel, found a lovely new home this weekend.

I hope she hangs proudly for her new owners!

What a beautiful Saturday it was.

happy to see such fabulous customers and friends.

There will be signs out a the major turns off Hwy 99 and at the driveway.
From I-5 North, take I-205 North to Exit #9, Oregon City. Turn Left on Hwy 99E go through Oregon City staying on Hwy 99E until you reach South End Road. Turn Left on South End Road. Go 1 mile and turn left into 20131.
From I-5 South, take the Aurora Donald Exit, turn right toward Aurora, go through Aurora and turn left onto Hwy 99E. You will stay on Hwy 99E through Canby. Turn Right on South End Road go 1 mile and turn left into 20131.
